I Take some time to think about who I am and what I believe in and what is important.
How many times each day do you mean to say one thing, and say another instead, because you’re worried about what others might think?
How often do you wake up in the morning with one idea in mind for what you want to accomplish, only to find yourself doing something else because of social, emotional or work pressures?
Do you dress the way you want to dress? Do you listen to the music you really like?
This questions slip through my mind. It’s not always easy to be yourself, but part of that is learning to love and embrace yourself is all that matters. Self-love is never an easy job. I tell you this momma that you are free, you are powerful, you are good and you are love.
This year I set a motivation not resolution. One word came into my mind and I am blessed. Despite of the current situation right now I am thankful for everything I have. Day by day I appreciate small things.
This thoughts become words and my words become my actions. Mind over body. According to Psychology today about self-love (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/get-hardy/201203/seven-step-prescription-self-love)
There are 7-Step Prescription for Self-Love
- Become mindful.
- Act on what you need rather than what you want
- Practice good self-care.
- Set boundaries.
- Protect yourself.
- Forgive yourself.
- Live intentionally.
I take note number 4 to set boundaries and 5 Protect myself. I’m starting to say no to others even to my friends. I just realize that if it bothers me or I’m uncomfortable with I politely say no to them. Protect myself this days because we are now living in a social pressures that we need somehow to set aside and spend time with family , I guess its all that matters. Be more wiser this days.
Hope your having a great start of new year like I am. Thank you for reading!
