Part of the celebrations has always been supporting those in need through the Power of Clothing
Manila, Philippines – UNIQLO promotes the spirit of its annual Thank You Festival in more ways than one, this time highlighting their sustainability message of the Power of Clothing by helping communities in need all year round.

UNIQLO donated 10,000 AIRism shirts to public school teachers nationwide through BDO Foundation and the Department of Education
The Thank You Festival serves as UNIQLO’s yearly grand expression of gratitude. The global apparel retailer reciprocates the love and support of its customers by rolling out exclusive deals and exciting promos for everyone to enjoy. Not to be left behind in the festivities are the underprivileged, underserved and those struck by disasters, whom UNIQLO has vowed to help as part of its commitment to promoting a circular, inclusive economy.
This year alone, UNIQLO has completed several initiatives that support those in need as part of its sustainability efforts. During this year’s run of the Thank You Festival in November, for instance, UNIQLO donated 1,500 AIRism shirts to pineapple plantation farmers in Bukidnon, in partnership with Del Monte Philippines 100th anniversary celebration. The collaboration also includes special UTme! prints and drinks infused with Del Monte products at UNIQLO Coffee, such as Pineapple Yuzu Iced Tea and Pineapple Chocolate.

UNIQLO expands its RE.UNIQLO Studio and relaunches its donation drive with SOS Children’s Village to support communities affected by recent calamities
As a testament to their commitment to the quality of LifeWear and promoting circularity, UNIQLO expands their RE.UNIQLO Studio outlets with their newest opening in SM Mall of Asia. RE.UNIQLO Studio is the brand’s outlet that offers repair and customization services, giving both new and pre-loved UNIQLO items a new life, encouraging longer use. The services also contribute to UNIQLO’s wide recycling efforts via a donation bin for pre-loved items. These donated pieces support partner communities and form part of disaster relief initiatives. This holiday season, UNIQLO announced the relaunch of RE.UNIQLO donation drive to help those affected by calamities, together with the SOS Children’s Village, a non-government organization focused on supporting children without parental care and families at risk.
UNIQLO was also there for families and communities affected by natural disasters. In the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Cebu in September, UNIQLO, together with the SM Foundation, donated a total of 4,000 AIRism items to communities affected in Bogo City. Hygiene kits were also provided to over 800 people during another disaster relief operation. Then, UNIQLO handed 5,500 AIRism items to communities affected by Super Typhoon Uwan and Typhoon Tino in Cebu, Bacolod, and Aurora. The brand also ensured care and support for the over 300 affected Cebu-based UNIQLO employees, extending aid to their families as well. UNIQLO also donated Php 3,000,000 in cash to the SM Foundation, allocated for essential resources for communities affected by disasters, including family hygiene kits and clean drinking water. The funds were used for school repair purposes as well.
UNIQLO partnered with Del Monte Philippines to gift 1,500 AIRism shirts to Bukidnon pineapple farmers, honoring the community and Del Monte’s 100th anniversary
For this season, UNIQLO gave another round of AIRism items to disaster victims, this time over 3,000 pieces to affected families in Davao, together with ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya. Over 10,000 pieces were also donated in partnership with BDO Foundation and the Department of Education to benefit public school teachers in different areas nationwide. To cap it off this December, the brand is set to supply relief efforts yet again in Cebu with around 3,000 AIRism and 4,000 pieces of pre-loved RE.UNIQLO donations to be given away.
These actions reflect UNIQLO’s commitment to being an active member of the community, as it works to showcase the inspirational and transformative Power of Clothing.
